GOOD PEOPLE
Pulitzer prize winning author, in Good People, David Lindsay-Abaire explores the struggles, loyalties and hopes that come with having next to nothing in America. Set in Boston’s Southie neighborhood where a night on the town means a few rounds of bingo and this month’s paycheck covers last month’s bills, Margaret Walsh is facing eviction. When a friend from the old neighborhood, who has become successful, moves back to town, Margaret hopes he may be the ticket to turning her life around.
Good People was performed in November 2018 at the Shrub Oak United Methodist Church Parish Hall at 1176 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588.
YCPTW’s Production was directed by Elaine Hartel and featured the acting talents of: Robert Ansbro, Levi Joseph Green, Dianne Roxy Pennington, Maureen Chandler Reid, Ruby Ellen Rocco and Leslie F. Smithey.
STEEL MAGNOLIAS
Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling, was performed at the Shrub Oak United Methodist Church Parish Hall in Shrub Oak May 10 through 19, 2019. The delightful production featured Kim Chandler, Madison Colombo, Kathy Colonna, Syl Farrell, Marisa Lowe & Anne Rodgers Pearl and was directed by Richard Troiano.
