Next up for YCPTW: DESIGN FOR MURDER:

A Mystery Thriller by George Batson

YCPTheaterWorks will present Design for Murder: A Mystery Thriller, by George Batson, a fast-moving, highly tense whodunit where the audience is treated to a remote mansion, a sleazy blackmailer, a trench coat clad detective and even a dark and stormy night. Performances are set for July 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24 at the United Methodist Church, 1776 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588. Tickets on sale soon at ycptw.brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $22 for Senior Citizens. Note that some themes in this play may not suitable for children under age 10.

The production will be directed by Kathy Colonna and stage managed by Laura Petrillo. Heather Firestone and Kim Chandler will produce. The cast is: Caeda Alexandra Billows, Susan Bond, TJ Cequeria, Terence Ducey, Heather Firestone, Kate Gleeson, Roberta Robinson, Richard Troiano and Benna Strober.

Please note that YCPTW will follow Broadway Covid-19 protocols as well as any local rules. Currently, that is a mask requirement for all audience members. Vaccine status will not be checked. These protocols may be updated prior to the performances and are subject to change.

A Free Reading of Andromache – June 12

YCP TheaterWorks will be presenting a staged reading, free of charge, of Jean Racine’s tragedy, Andromache, on June 12 at 2:00 pm at the Hendrick Hudson Library, 185 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY 10548. Translated and directed by Bruce Pearl with Rob Ansbro, Steve Schnapper, Steven Sylvia, Richard Troiano, Kate Gleeson, Anne Rodgers Pearl, Kate Rado, Chris Gillespie, Heather Firestone, Jacqueline Smith, Vincent Dacquino, Lori Samuels and Bruce Pearl.

A year after the Trojan war, Andromache, Hector’s widow, and her son are prisoners in Greece where Pyrrhus has been professing his love for her. Andromache despises him. But when Greece condemns her son to death, Pyrrhus’ love for her is the only thing that could save him.

 

 

 

THE CEMETERY CLUB

A Comedy by Ivan Menchell, Directed by Richard Troiano

Welcome Everybody to YCP TheatreWorks’ After-COVID return to live theater!  We were proud to present the hit play The Cemetery Club, written by Ivan Menchell and directed by Richard Troiano for our 62nd Season.

The Cemetery Club is a moving and funny story that will brings enjoyment and make you glad you came out of your house.  The Cemetery Club centers around three widows who meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husband’s graves. One day they meet a widower there and things begin to take them out of their normal routine.

Performances were: November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14, 2021.

Location: Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Hudson Valley, 2021 Albany Post Rd. (Rt. 9A), Croton-on-Hudson. Ample parking available on premises. Parking is also permitted on Rt. 9A, in front of the church. However, please do not park across the street at Luposello’s Garage.

There was a surprise appearance of author,  Ivan Menchell on closing night!
